Community bike ride with Agua Caliente Vieja!

A bike ride to the beach!

On October 22, we led the first in our series of bimonthly Outdoor Excursions that we will host for each community that we serve. At 8am that Saturday morning, we gathered a group of almost fifty people in the village of Agua Caliente Vieja, including twenty-five children on bicycles, parents and grandparents who joined us as chaperones, and Foundation staff and volunteers. We tuned up the bikes that the children brought, loaned bikes and helmets to those who did not have their own, and set off for the beach!

After a four-mile ride, we arrived at Playa Tenacatita to rest, play, swim, build sandcastles, and eat lunch before riding back to the village. The event brought the community together to enjoy the outdoors, be active, and explore the local flora and fauna, and the kids are already eager for their next trip!
