A wet and wild bike ride

Recent rains made last weekend’s bike ride in the secluded village of Juan Gil an unexpected adventure. Mud, puddles, and a total of ten creeks to bike or wade across couldn’t dampen the kids’ spirits; on the contrary, everyone enjoyed the added challenge and excitement. When we’d finally arrived at our destination, we took a moment to appreciate our natural surroundings by making leaf rubbings. The kids hunted for leaves with interesting forms and textures and then set to work transferring their images to paper to create a colorful craft to take home and remember a great day spent outdoors!
