How did you start your Saturday? Here in Agua Caliente, we were up at sunrise checking tires and adjusting helmets for ten intrepid third through sixth graders who had gathered for their school’s last bike ride of the school year. The route started with a long climb, but the kids were undaunted. After cruising along for several kilometers, they were given the option to cool down and relax in the river or push on to a secluded beach farther down the trail. The group was set on being our first to reach this new destination, and the views were well worth it. We enjoyed a quick break at La Mosca to refuel before setting off on the return journey. All in all, the kids spent two hours peddling and covered nearly 20 kilometers. What a day!
