Summer vacation means more time for bike polo! Since June, children from Emiliano Zapata and Fransisco Villa have been meeting every Tuesday to practice bike polo at our school in Fransisco Villa.
As the school year comes to a close, we have now invited the children from all of our local villages to two movie screenings!
We have finished construction on our new bike polo court in the village of Francisco Villa and the school is up and running!
Continuing our sea turtle educational series
In January, we invited children from the villages of Miguel Hidalgo Nuevo, Punta Pérula, and Emiliano Zapata to attend three more installments in this series.
Bright and early community ride!
On Saturday, November 26, children from the two primary schools in the neighboring villages of Francisco Villa and Emiliano Zapata joined us for a 5-km community bike ride. Many children were so enthusiastic that they arrived with their parents and siblings before 8am!
An exciting and educational preschool field trip!
This month, our biologist Alejandro Peña and his team at the STPCC hosted an amazing event: the children of the preschool in the village of Emiliano Zapata visited Careyes to learn about sea turtle conservation and release hatchlings from their protected nests into the ocean.
