Careyes Art space

The Careyes Art Space was inaugurated in 2011 as a space for local, international, and resident artists to showcase their work. The space is free and open to the public and provides cultural education to the residents of Costalegre.

It has since served as the gallery for works by our Artists in Residence: Artemio, Máximo González, Francisco Ugarte, Mary Weatherford, Conrad Shawcross, Scoli Acosta, and Adrià Julià. For more information on their residencies and exhibitions, visit our Contemporary Art & Community Program page.

The space has also presented solo shows by artists like Terence Gower, Retna, and Anne Menke, as well as group exhibitions by some of Mexico’s most promising young art stars, including José Dávila, Gonzalo Lebrija, and Jorge Méndez Blake.
