Devra teaches English in the villages of Francisco Villa and Punta Pérula. She also works with local workers who are interested in developing their English language skills, contributes to the the Foundation’s blog, and is the Foundation’s main photographer. Devra graduated from the University of Southern California in 2014 with a BA in Sociology and a minor in Photography & Social Change. During her time at USC she studied abroad in Cape Town, South Africa, and was very involved in several organizations that worked with children in the South Los Angeles community. Her primary career interest and passion lies in working with underserved youth, both at home in the U.S. and abroad. In her spare time, Devra teaches dance lessons to local Careyes children and spends as much time at the beach as she can.
