Katie teaches English in the villages of Agua Caliente Nueva and Punta Pérula. In addition to her work on the development and administrative side of the Foundation, she helps run the Cinema & Community Program and participates in the adult choir through the Foundation’s Music School. Katie recently graduated from the University of Oregon with a B.S. in Economics and a minor in Spanish. While at the U of O, she spent a summer living in Querétaro, Mexico and interned with a microdevelopment organization supporting savings groups and sustainable entrepreneurship in Chile and Uganda. Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Katie enjoys spending as much time outdoors as she possibly can.
