Katie is committed to helping the Foundation continue to grow and focuses primarily on communications and outreach, grant writing, and administrative support. She first arrived as a volunteer in 2017 and taught English for two school years in the villages of Agua Caliente Nueva and Punta Pérula. Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, she graduated from the University of Oregon with a B.S. in Economics and a minor in Spanish. In her free time, Katie enjoys long walks or good books on the beach, playing soccer and volleyball, and generally spending as much time outdoors as she possibly can.
