Hola. I'm Lorenzo Locci.

"Working at the Careyes Foundation is an incredible opportunity to be part of a team of passionate people and to be able to contribute to the growth of the communities that we serve with our many programs."

About Me

I am managing the Vocational Training Center at “Casa de la Cultura”. I support the English classes as a teacher and as Coordinator of the Center. Within my role I organize programs to acquire practical skills to foster the local economy and expand job opportunities for youth and adults. I'm driven by my commitment to community empowerment and education. I had been following the Foundation and recently joined the team in mid-April 2023. I have experienced different cultural settings and non-profit causes. Originally from Italy, I moved abroad after a B.S. in Biotechnology. In the Netherlands, I graduated with a MSc in organic agriculture, marketing and consumer behavior, at Wageningen University. I previously coordinated an ecotourism and sea turtle conservation project in a rural community of Guerrero. Before moving to Mexico, I organized events as part of the European Voluntary Service with Bird Life Malta, and worked as an educator in Guatemala and Costa Rica. I'm passionate about nature and swimming, enjoy cooking , love hiking, camping and adventuring on road trips.
