Sarah manages the daily operations of the Foundation. In addition to handling the administration of the organization, she also oversees and develops programs and events, implements new initiatives, and coordinates the volunteer program. Sarah first joined the Careyes Foundation in 2015 as a volunteer English teacher, and she continues to teach in the villages of Emiliano Zapata and Chamela.
Sarah has a BA in Neuroscience from the University of Southern California, where she also studied Occupational Therapy. She has over fifteen years of experience working with children in various settings, from summer camps and mentorship organizations to academic tutoring and program management. Originally from Washington State, Sarah loves spending time outdoors and takes every opportunity to appreciate the beautiful nature that surrounds us in Careyes!
