Hola. I'm Sarah Lerman.
"Working at the Careyes Foundation allows me to forge meaningful connections with the children and families impacted by our programs, experiencing firsthand the joy and enrichment they derive from their participation. It is immensely fulfilling to be part of their journey and even more rewarding to witness the substantial changes and achievements that unfold over the years as our programs empower them with new opportunities and possibilities."
About Me
I am responsible for overseeing both the daily operations and strategic planning of the Careyes Foundation. With my expertise in program management, I handle the administration of the organization, manage the budget, develop impactful programs and events, and implement new initiatives.
I joined the Careyes Foundation in 2015 as an English teacher, and I am proud to continue teaching in the elementary school in the village of Chamela. With a background in Neuroscience and Occupational Therapy, earning a B.A. from the University of Southern California, I bring over twenty years of experience working with children in various capacities, including summer camps, mentorship organizations, academic tutoring, and program management.
Originally from Washington State, I find solace and inspiration in immersing myself in the beauty of nature that surrounds us in Careyes and spending time with my family.
