Singing to Celebrate Mexico’s Independence

On September 15, the Careyes Foundation’s Music School hosted a concert titled “México Lindo y Querido” in the town square in the village of Francisco Villa during the community’s Mexican Independence Day celebration. Participating were the Foundation’s Children’s Choir and Adult Choir, as well as a local group of folkloric dancers. The groups danced to and sang songs significant within Mexican culture to celebrate their independence. We had a fantastic first performance of the year and are looking forward to what the coming year will bring for the Music School!
