¡Viva la revolución!

November 20th is a lively national holiday in Mexico celebrating the anniversary of the start of the Mexican Revolution of 1910. In our neighboring village of Emiliano Zapata, named for one of the revolution’s key figures, schoolchildren of all ages paraded through the town dressed as revolutionaries. This year, our children’s and adult choirs performed at a reception lunch following the parade, singing a setlist of Mexican classics accompanied by the local folkloric dance group!
