We had a full house yesterday for the first of this fall’s cinema field trips! These events put an educational twist on a fun movie night through presentations by a local guest speaker on themes related to the film. Our current series focuses on turning your passion into a career. Our expert, Max Chaumeny, describes how he has built a life around his love for the ocean (a path that was partly inspired by a movie!). He shares that passion with others and makes a living leading scuba diving excursions and creating beautiful, handcrafted wooden surfboards. The kids get to check out one of these boards as they talk about their own interests and where they could lead them. After that, it’s time to sit back, relax, and enjoy the movie–Surf’s Up!
