Our Team Is GROWING

Dear Community, say hello to Mar, Tere & Cati!

We have a lot of new and exciting projects in the works and our programs keep expanding day by day so, for the last couple of months, we've been searching for new members to join the team. We finally found them, and we're very excited to introduce you to these three amazing women!

Caitlin Chew

Cati has a degree in Environmental Management with a minor in marine science from the University of Otago in New Zealand.

She arrived in Mexico in 2014 as a Peace Corps volunteer and fell in love with the country. She worked as an environmental educator in San Blas, Nayarit, as well as venturing into eco-tourism!

She's also a vegetarian and enjoys playing the ukelele.

Mar Reynoso

Mar is originally from Guadalajara and has spent the last year on the coast of Oaxaca working with kids on socio-environmental projects.

She has a degree in Economics from the Universidad de Guadalajara, as well as studies on Epistemologies in the Global South.

She feels passionate both for science (more specifically, evolution) and photography!

Tere Laris

Tere studied Textile and Fashion Design, focused on artisanal processes, at CENTRO, and Communication Studies, focusing on social communication, at the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City, as well as receiving LEAD certification from Stanford University.

She has worked mainly in sustainable rural development for indigenous communities, and environmental education from kindergarten to high school.

We're so incredibly eager to start collaborating with these talented women, and we hope you will give them a warm welcome to the Careyes community!

In other news, we want to congratulate Miles Butera on the launch of Careyes Eats, a food delivery service whose proceeds will be donated to support our programs in the local communities! You can now order delicious food from Playa Rosa, La Coscolina, and Punto Como and they'll deliver it to your residence in Careyes. Click to visit their website and Instagram.
