ALEX MEDINA
MUSIC Teacher
Alejandro “Alex” Medina Cernas is the director of our music school. He teaches weekly choir lessons to elementary school children from 12 villages, guiding them in their musical education and providing them with opportunities to perform for local and international audiences.
Alex is a Tenor from Colima, who began his vocalist training in 2011. He was the student of Olga Sevriugova, and was part of the Vivar Choir along with the State of Colima’s Secretary of Culture Choir. In 2013, he began his preparation in the Instituto Universitario de Bellas Artes under Tenor Felipe Castellanos, during which he participated in two editions del concierto al excelencia. In 2016, he led musical directives for scenes of the Celta Teatro company. He went on to become a Music Director in Campoverde Manzanillo directing Mamma Mía and cuentos para un dia de sol de Carlos Orona.
