ARMANDO CALDERÓN

FIELD OPERATOR

Armando is responsible for the field operations of the Foundation. In addition to managing vehicle and building maintenance, he coordinates our hurricane prevention and response efforts, including preparing emergency shelters and maintaining emergency equipment in local schools. Armando also helps with logistics for Foundation events and assists in activities at the Sea Turtle Protection and Conservation Center. He joined the team in August 2022.

Armando is from San Blas, Nayarit, and studied marine biology at the Universidad Autónoma de Sinaloa. He has worked in conservation, ecosystem monitoring, and restoration in marine and terrestrial environments, and has six years of experience in productive aquaculture systems. He enjoys playing bass and guitar, as well as exploring new places to learn about biodiversity and experience new cultures.
